F-600 Prancer DEVELS Horse - 1955 - As of this writing, this is the only picture I have seen of a Prancer with the heavy hook hanger. Very rare first year of production. The lure is in the color Shad. It is in the correct 1 1/4" high box.

This lure is stamped... Devels Horse Prancer. It comes in a unique color... Plain Yellow with the red gill. I have seen them in Yellow with a Green Back, Yellow with White Ribs, Yellow with Silver Ribs, Yellow with Green Spots and Yellow with Black Spots. This is the first one in plain Yellow. 1956 - 1963

A-600 DEVELS Horse Prancer -
In 1962 Smithwick showed the F-600 Prancer 1/4 oz with the flat belly and in this year only showed the A-600 Prancer 3/16 oz with the round belly.
The A-600 is a smaller blank (like the Toothpick). It is only 2 3/4" instead of a 3" blank. It also does not have the standard flat bottom that the other Prancers have. The rear hook is smaller than the front hook. It is stamped "Devels Horse Prancer". It comes in color #3 Golden Shiner .
A-600 DEVELS Horse Prancer - 1962
