One covers almost the full page about the Smithwick Warhorse. THIS DATES THE WARHORSE BACK TO 1952. The other is an article about ..Surface Fishing.. and tells about a fishing trip using the Devils Warhorse.
	Articles 1966 A couple of articles in Fishing News. They mention Devil’s Warhorse, Rooters and the Pacer. The Shreveport Magazine has a great 3 page article by Adrien Delbasty on Smithwick lures. A must read! 1966 April The article says. "Here's our choice for some of the best artificial lures--these are the ones WE will be using in '66." They feature 15 deadly Artificial of which 4 are Smithwicks. The Devil's Warhorse, Rooter Senior and Rooter Jr., and the Devil's Pacer. They also say. " We never intentionally say that any item is the best. (Also see page 35 for continuation of this article.) Great mention of the Water Gater. One shop ordered 276 and followed up a few days later for 208 more!!
